Public collection

Public Snowboards was founded in 2015 by Joe Sexton, a thirtytwo team rider, technical street rider and tastemaker. It’s built on one idea: snowboarding needs more community. For this collab, Sexton had full creative control over the look and feel of both pieces.

Basin Public FASE binding. A clean, skate-inspired black and gray binding with FASE® fast entry. A softer flex and extra dampening give you more board feel and comfortable laps, without giving up durability. Sizes S, M and L.

STW Double BOA Public boot. Raw-edge black denim on thirtytwo’s trusted STW platform. The new BOA® H5 coiler dials in your fit with small, precise adjustments, and you can loosen it without popping the dial. Double BOA® gives you separate control of the upper and lower zones. A Comfort Tongue, Evolution Foam midsole and Comfort Fit liner make it a medium 5/10 flex that’s comfortable from first chair to last lap.

The boot and binding are made to work together: same style, same soft, playful ride.

FAQ

What size snowboard do I need for my height, weight, and boot size?

Board length generally comes down to your height and weight. As a starting point, stand the board upright and look for it to reach somewhere between your chin and nose. Riders who prioritise stability and speed can size up; those who want a more playful, jib-friendly feel can size down. As a beginner, it's often best to size down for a more manageable, easier-to-control board. Boot size matters for width: if your boot overhangs the edges, size up to a wide board to avoid toe and heel drag.

What's the difference between all-mountain, freestyle, and freeride boards?

thirtytwo's line breaks this down into three collections: SHRED boards are all-mountain directional twins built for every transition, lip, side hit, and roller. Regular or switch. DESTROY boards are true twins built for park laps, with a flex that snaps back and construction that holds up lap after lap. SFD boards are built for sidecountry freeriding, shaped for the drawn-out turn and chasing better lines.

How should snowboard boots fit — snug or roomy?

Snug, not roomy. Your toes should just brush the end of the liner when standing straight, then pull back off the front when you flex your knees forward. A boot that's too big will cost you control; if in doubt, size down rather than up. All our liners are heat-moldable for customized fit.

What's the difference between Lashed, TM2, Focus BOA®, and STW DB?

Lashed is thirtytwo's original, iconic lace boot, the boot that built the brand, available across several tiers. TM-2 is the most versatile boot in the line, team-approved by riders like Chris Grenier (XLT Grenier) and Scott Stevens (TM-2 Stevens, including a signature camo colorway). It runs a mid-stiff flex with Double BOA® or lace closure options for a responsive fit across park, resort, and everything between. STW DB is the entry-level double-BOA® option, an accessible way into a dialled-in fit without a full lace system.

What binding size do I need for my boot size?

Binding sizing runs in ranges (S/M/L) that correspond to your boot size, not your board size. Check the size chart against your boot size to find the right fit. A properly sized binding should centre your boot in the highback and straps without excess overhang.

Is FASE® actually faster than a normal strap or step-in binding, or just marketing?

It's real. FASE® is a fast-entry system built around an AutoBack highback that drops out of the way and locks back in when you step down, so you're in and riding without bending down to crank straps every chair. Pair it with a FASE®-optimised boot outsole, built specifically to grip the system, and the two lock together with a precision a standard strap binding can't match for speed.
