Performance

Snowboarders around the world need the best performing boots, period. Here at ThirtyTwo, listening to the needs of those our riders drives our technical
innovation. Superior fit, comfort, support, flex and style make ThirtyTwo boots technically advanced. The following innovations are going to let riders dominate.
Get ready.

Weight

Many seasons ago, ThirtyTwo boots revolutionized the snowboard boot market by making the lightest boots. For 2007, we've continued developing some of the lightest boots around.

STI Evolution Foam™

sti-foam

NEW for 2007, ThirtyTwo proudly introduces STI Evolution Foam™ into the midsole and outsole of select boots. Designed specifically at STI, this new foam provides better cushioning than traditional foam materials and dramatically reduces the weight of our boots by eliminating the need for a heavy rubber outsole. These features help make ThirtyTwo boots with STI Evolution Foam™ 15% to 40% lighter than previous seasons and remain the lightest in the industry.

3-D Molded Tongue

3-D Molded Tongue

NEW for 2007, our 3-D Molded Tongues wrap your foot for easier lacing, improved fit and heel hold. This new design also gives us the ability to vary the stiffness of each model for customized flex and improved responsiveness.

Articulating Cuff

Articulating Cuff

This advanced shell construction creates high-performing, smooth-flexing boots that are easier to lace and more durable. There is also less shell distortion, resulting in consistent heel hold through the full flex range.

Inner Cuff Lacing System

Inner Cuff Lacing System

Totally redesigned for 2007, our new Inner Cuff Lacing System can easily be tightened with a single pull. The new lace lock will keep the laces secure, and the anatomical shape will keep your heel down.

Tongue Tension System

Tongue Tension System

Also redesigned for 2007, we have drastically reduced friction in the Tongue Tension System, which now works with the 3-D Molded Tongue for easier closure and a more secure fit.

Flex Levels

Flex Levels

Every rider has a preference in boot stiffness. We take this into consideration in all of our boots—from the upper to the outsole to the liner—to make them perfectly balanced. Each boot is rated on our 10 point scale:
1 = softest to 10 = stiffest.

Materials

Materials

We have continued using abrasion-resistant synthetic materials that withstand sharp board edges, conform around the foot easily and look great. It is also important for us to make the most eco-friendly boot on the market by keeping our boots PVC-free and using natural and recycled materials.

System G2™

System G2

System G2™ is a special temperature independent gel compound that has been exhaustively researched, designed and tested in the snow and in our STI biomechanics lab for over three years now.

System G2O2™

System G2O2

Select ThirtyTwo snowboard boots incorporate System G2O2™ cushioning technology. Developed and tested exclusively by the Sole Technology Institute, this patented (US 7,020,988B1) technology provides dual cushioning for all types of riding. The System O2™ air bag absorbs low impact forces associated with general terrain and free riding, while the System G2™ gel kicks in during big park jumps when higher impact forces are experienced. The result is the ultimate snowboard cushioning technology that absorbs 60 to 75 more force than conventional snowboard boots.
