2009 Ride Shake Down
The Shake Down was this year, again, pretty amazing. The set-up was the same as last year with a enormous crowd-pleasing jump set on the side. The rail set-up was original and consisted of a circular set of steps topped with an AMP neon-lit waterfall. The rails were huge again and included a “C” rail and a concrete down ledge with a nice little kink at the end to make it a little gnarlier. The last one was a big up-flat-down used by the most daredevilish riders to get air for some “disastrous” tricks.
In the village, a bunch a fools braved the rain for best boot booth ever and our simple game of TwisTwo.
ThirtyTwo certainly made some friends out there.
Guillaume rocking the new Experience shades while calling the most difficult position to the TwiTwo players.
Right next door to ThirtyTwo was the skate ramp where a skateboard half-time show replaced the totally rained out snow rails.
Coors Light Rail Jam
Yeah!
Friendly neighborhood boot dealer Émilie
Some serious talk with O’dini and Pat Tremblay (Winner of the skate half time show!)
The crowd for the finals
And the jam packed bar to close the weekend!
Thumbs up to the fans and riders who came to brave the weather and put together an epic snowboard event for this 2009 edition.
Peace,
Enwar Outtas
