Fan Mail For JP Walker
Received from our friends at Snowboard Canada:
JP's been out in Ontario since last Wednesday with Simon Chamberlain shooting for the upcoming 32/Stepchild Team video and shooting with Rich Odam. They've been going to some pretty small towns like Lindsay, Waterloo and Stratford. SBC received a very enthused email from a shredder in Stratford about JP being in town after he saw a photo in the local paper. For now, some highlights, but be on the lookout for the full letter in SBC's Winter (SIA) edition:
So...yesterday i got home from school, its pouring rain, and like everyday so far... I proceeded to the pathetic excuse for a hill that is... the Stratford Festival... I arrived back at my home... and ate... a lot. As I was eating I noticed a familiar face on the cover of my local newspaper. J.P. Walker had been to MY spot...
This couldn't be!...Somehow, on Monday, between the hours that I had been riding, went to work and went out again... One of my all time snowboarding heroes had been to my town (population 30,000), sessioned our local rail and vanished without a "peace out"...
So I am quitting school, and my job to snowboard everyday. *laughs* I wish... I gata buy gas... and lift tickets.

The most embarrassing moment I ever had snowboarding was at Bear Mountain, CA. I remember is very clearly....Mr JP Walker was at Bear Filming and I thought I would be cool and hit a jump he was standing by....
Caught a edge on takeoff and well...I will let your imagine paint the rest.
All I know is I ate S&^% but JP saw it.
Very very embarrassing and will never try to be "cool" again.
What was I thinking
HEY JP AND SIMON SHOULD COME TO PITTSBURGH, PA. ITS A KINDA SMALLER CITY BUT ITS TOTALLY UNDERRATTED. I DONT THINK ANYONE KNOWS ABOUT PITTSBURGH THAT SNOWBOARDS, WELL IVE NEVER SEEN ANYTHING YET. THERE ARE SO MANY RAILS AND OTHER CREATIVE STUFF.
