Enviro-mental Giveaway!

It pays to be green...

A wise frog once said, "It ain't easy being green." We know it takes a little extra care to do what's right for our planet, but it's totally worth it. We teamed up with Snowboarder Mag to reward a couple of like-minded shredders.

Tell us how you save our winters on a daily basis and you may win yourself a new pair of boots to help Tr32d Lightly. Enter to win!

i buy locallly grown produce, i try not to buy many items with lots of packaging. always doing the 3 R's, reduce reuse recycle. i always try to either car pool, or find other means of transportation, say bus, bike walk or whatever.
i plan on buying a more enviromentally snowboard such as a GNU, LIB, or an Arbor, but i wish there was some outerwear i could get that was made from the more green aspect.

every time we go to shred the rad we all pile in one car together to help out the planet. and when we aren't heading to the mountain its public transpo. but mostly i just say no thanks to all those plastic bags and packaging.

be creative. hit up some rails around your neighborhood instead of driving a ways to the mountain and using all that gas. or if you do go up to the mountain, get a bunch of friends and carpool. obviously its impossible for snowboarders to be totally green. we ride lifts to get to the parks, which were groomed by the cats, or we use sleds to get to the back country. but doing every little thing, like supporting "green" companies or recycling your water bottles from lunch, is what's gonna count.

When we go shred, we pile in one car then about half way, hop on the bus.

Use less paper, buy an electric car or a hybrid, recycle everything you can, teach others to be green

I went to the dump recently. once you've been to the dump and see all the plastics and glass everywhere, you'll remember to find that bin with triangle of arrows on it.
