Whittier College Rail Jam
The second annual Whittier College Rail Jam went down just outside of downtown L.A. with Springtime temperatures reaching around 70 degrees. It was a very nice day.

Mammoth Mountain rolled down with a couple of boxes, a rail and a wall ride feature, making for a super fun course. The contest began at noon, seeing the locals from Big Bear and Mt. High put on a junk show with some random kids just going for it. Mike Burton was one of the only exceptions, 'cause the kid was killing it.

Mike ended up taking first place and a purse prize of a thousand bucks, followed by $300 for second place. Mark “The Parkâ€, a ThirtyTwo flow rider/tester, won $100 for third place. Yeah, Mark!
One of the highlights was seeing the middle of the college quad covered with tons of ground-up ice cubes, which was kind of weird, especially in downtown L.A.

I must say, the Whittier College campus was super cool and the rose gardens were beautiful. So, I tried to get all artsy-fartsy, as you can see by my photos. What do you think?

Thanks, Whittier College, for a fun day in L.A.!

Damn, forgot about O-Town and his MC skills! Thanks for keeping me laughing all day Oren.
I saw that kid on the whale the day before at Sea World. The kid knows how to get around.
