International Team Report 3-31-07
What's happening in Europe?
Well, you won't believe it, but winter finally found its way to Europe. It's been dumping in the Alps, and most people got to ride some powder - at least for a couple of days.

Norwegian up-and-coming style master and energy bunny, Ståle Sandbech, just won the Norwegian Championships in both the slopestyle and halfpipe events. He already won the Junior Quarterpipe contest at The Arctic Challenge and Terje - the master himself, said that Ståle is the most talented, up-and-coming, young Norwegian rider right now. Who would dare to disagree with Terje? Keep your eyes open. Ståle will be killing it!
Norwegian rockstar of the year, Mr. Danny Larsen, has been traveling around Austria most of this month. He's been busy shooting footage with The Pirates for his up-coming video part. Danny will head to Laax, for the Pleasure Spring Session in April, and then to Italy for a photoshoot and a little demo in the Cervinia Snow Park.

model shot: Thomas Harstad
Thomas Harstad is still in the states. He's staying in Tahoe for four weeks, filming with the MMP crew and shooting and riding as much as possible. He's also been filming with Espen Lystad and thinking about staying in the U.S. for a couple more weeks.
France native, Remi Lamazouere, went on a trip to Bulgaria with the Dragon crew and Peter Lundström from Onboard. They had perfect conditions and two big snowfalls with 50 cm of fresh snow each time. They went to the mountains to session some terrain that will become a future ski resort, but for now is not open to the public yet. They found some nice backcountry jumps, jibs, powder runs, and came back home, more than satisfied - with big smiles on their faces.

Remi and his best friend
Finnish rider Tomi Savela just got awarded two titles at the Aesthetiker Waengl Taengl contest in Mayrhofen, Austria last weekend. It was one of the last three star TTR contests for this season and Tomi took home the award for best line and best trick. That's not too bad, I would say.

mc-twist: Simon Schweiger
Germany's Mr. Nice Guy, Simon Schweiger, had quite a succesful March as well. He won the Nice and Landed contest in Lech, Austria and pulled off a very technical and smooth run in the slopestyle contest. Simon is nice and quiet, but when it comes to snowboarding he is a style master for sure, and kills every jump. He headed to the Pyrenees mountains in Spain for the Total Fight, which is the last TTR contest this winter. While there he will tear the park apart.
Congratulations to all our boys. Have fun out there and take care!
