International Team Report 2-12-07
European Team Update:
Hey, there! It’s Europe speaking! We are still in need of snow! While it finally got cold in the north ( Scandinavia and Finland are reporting – 20 degrees Celsius), Mid-Europe is still hoping for the big dump! But well, what can we do. Let’s wait and see!
Danny Larsen just got voted European Snowboard Rockstar of the Year! But nevertheless, he doesn't rest, and is busy filming with the Pirates! He just visited the ThirtyTwo booth at ISPO and headed to Flachau, Austria afterwards to film with the Pirates and do a photo shoot with the german MBM crew! Danny will also have an interview in the next issue of the Czech Free magazine.
After a short stop in Munich, Germany, for ISPO, Jaakko Säppäla went to Canada to start filming with the Whiteout Crew. He's stoked to finally experience the real winter after our messy weather conditions here in Europe.
French rider Remi Lamazouere just got back from a trip to Colorado and is now riding in France again. He said they had great conditions in the states, and he crosses his fingers for some nice snow in France now!
Tina Ramholt is just recovering from some stretched ligaments in her knee. But she will be back riding soon. She's planning on heading to the US Open and the Roxy Chicken Jam.
Cuca Aranda is preparing her first girls camp in Spain. Besides that, she giving school the old "college try", and is riding in the Pyrenees.
Our little 12 year old grom Staale Sandbech, from Norway, just placed fourth at the Burton European Open Pipe contest in theages 6 -13 category. After the BEO, he headed on to Livigno/ Italy to compete in the World Rookie Fest, where he won the slopestyle contest for the groms. Congratulations Staale!!!
Thomas Harstad just got back from Japan. He's been filming with the MMP crew over there and the crazy amount of powder had him over joyed! Now he's back in Europe, filming with the MMP's and waiting for good snow!
Andreas Moen just scored his second cover of the season. After a cover on a Chinese snowboard magazine, he has scored his second cover on a Russian magazine, Andreas is goin' international. Congratulations Andreas. Andreas is filming with the Pirates again this season.
