International Team Report 09-18-06
Markku Koski was recently down in New Zealand for three weeks on a Quiksilver photo shoot, where he hurt his shoulder again. Seems Mar Koo-Koo was filming on a big jump at Snow Park when a big gust of wind tossed him straight on his shoulder and tore a ligament. The doctor said it should be good in two weeks, though, so it's not too bad. Markku is now relaxing in Fiji for few days, to be followed by Hawaii for a week and then New York City. Mr. Jet-Setter will finally arrive home on September 26.
Swedish ripper Hampus Mosesson is back in Sweden after a photo trip to Mt. Hood in June. After a week in the U.S., he returned to enjoy the Swedish Summer full throttle. He spent his precious time back home with pool parties, playing golf, organizing the Scandinavian Golf Championships and skateboarding.
He also got the cover of the newest issue of the Swedish Transition magazine. But, Hampus is looking forward to getting back on board again. His next trip will take him to Zurich, Switzerland, where he is invited to the Freestyle.ch contest on September 22-24. Hmmm, Freestyle.ch? That name sounds so Web!
Swedish sunnyboy and spin master Chris Sörman is on tour with the Pirates to promote their newest video, Lubedence. The first premiere was on Friday, September 15 in Innsbruck, Austria. After that, Chris will head to Zurich to do the Freestyle.ch contest together with Hampus. He placed 5th last year, and I’m sure he’s gonna be in the finals again this year.
Norway's Thomas Harstad is on his way to Bali, where he will spend the next couple of weeks together with his Norwegian posse, chilling out on the beach and surfing as much as possible before he returns to the cold North of Europe again to await the first snow.
After a short trip back home to Finland, Finnish candy addict Jussi Tarvainen flew back to the U.S. right before ASR to attend some premieres and get ready for the next season.
Frenchman Remi Lamazouere is still chilling in the French Atlantic area, surfing and getting ready for the Fiasco video premieres. That's the newest movie by Lester productions, including parts from Remi and Joni Mäkinen.
Swedish lady ripper Cuca Aranda is still dwelling in Australia. She’ll be back and ready to rock the European scene again at the beginning of the upcoming season.
So long from the European Division!--Steffi Hager
