Buck Off Rail Jam

Buck off. Yeah, that's right, pal. You heard me. Buck off! On Saturday, September 2, 2006, Mountain High in Southern California held their annual Buck Off Rail Jam. With 100 tons of ice cubes ground up to resemble snow, kids were jumping on and off the rails like it was 1999. Hmmm…I don't know exactly what that means, but it sure does sound good.

Yes, 100 tons of so-called snow equals 100 tons of great hype for the upcoming season. Mountain High did a great job of getting the kids out on the hill. All you had to do was buy a season pass for $300 bucks and you could ride the rail garden all day long, which features three different set-ups: a flat rail to another flat rail, a rainbow rail to a dragon's back rail, and a flat box to a gap to a down box into a mini-wall ride.

As the day progressed, kids walked through the tent village and checked out ThirtyTwo's new 2006-2007 products, got free stickers, and tried to win a ThirtyTwo medallion or medallion t-shirt. I tell you, kids will do anything for free gear. We even held a Sharpie Mustache Contest, a ThirtyTwo Stickers on Your Body contest, and the best: the Let Us Spray Coke in Your Face For a Free T-Shirt contest. I couldn't believe what kids would do!

Also, one of the largest ThirtyTwo dealers in Southern California showed off our new boots! Thanks to Powder & Sun for representing. Their sales guys are the most knowledgeable I've ever met. Big-ups to Chuck Allen and his crew at Mountain High for another successful event.--Brian Cook

I'm sure many of you are like me and one of the first things you do in the morning is head here and check out the new post. Along with seeing the new posts, I'm also always checking out the blog roll rss feed and watching them grow, or shrink sometimes. In one of my past ...but all in all excellent site. Keep it up!
