Brrr! ThirtyTwo Gets Chile! Beach Day
After five fun-filled days of shredding in 60 degree weather, we thought it would be fun to take off from the mountains of Chile and head to the beach. We loaded up the vans and drove to a city called Vina Del Mar. It was beautiful and the waves were nice, but the water was ice cold. I put my feet in, but that was about it. John Jackson and Benji Richie, along with our fearless Art Director, Chase Nann, headed out into the waters with some rented boards and wetsuits.
The guys got some good waves. Benji ended up breaking one of the foam boards he was riding, and John and Chase soon left the water due to frozen hands and feet. That night, we ended up going out to a casino and a mellow dinner. All in all, our final night in Chile was a chill one on the coast. From snowboarding to Beach eh? Oh, what it would be like to be a pro snowboarder. You lucky bastards. Soon the snow will fall at Lake Louise and the runs will be littered with punters from Calgary and they'll steel all the fresh poo from us. At least they don't know about the hoot huts. Shit, I've said too much already.
