International Team Report 04-27-06

Oh gosh, this Winter went fast! Don't you think? It's time for our Spring Team Report. The ThirtyTwo Europe gang is still busy filming and taking pictures.

Markku Koski is finally done with all the competitions and is now working in the U.S. backcountry to shoot and film as much as possible. Since he was concentrating so much on contests this season, and doing really good in the ones he entered, Markku didn't get a chance to go film and shoot too much. So, he's enjoying some Springtime riding now, and is trying to get some stuff done before the season is over! After a stop at the Vans Cup in Tahoe, where he took 6th place, and the U.S. Open, where he got 4th, he's concentrating on getting some more photos.
Hampus Mosesson is currently in the U.S., as well. Since he was pretty damned unlucky with his visa, he just started filming in March, and is now trying to complete his part for the next Mack Dawg movie. But there's still enough snow and finally also some sun, so Hampus is spending all of his available minutes to collect as much footage as possible for a banger video part. Watch out!

Thomas Harstad was on a mission with the Storbis guys this season. He traveled around Europe with his crew, and finally flew to the States at the beginning of April to get some park shots. But, like almost everybody this season, those guys weren't really lucky with the weather, and I guess the trip wasn't too successful, filming-wise. But since we had a great Winter in Europe with tons of snow, Thomas collected quite a good stack of footage. Check out the new Storbis site. It's great fun!

New truck and sled owner Jussi "Juicy" Tarvainen is still kicking it in the U.S. He's been busy filming with the Mack Dawg crew, and after a suffering a bruised knee and taking a three-week break, he's back on track and about to finish his video part. Jussi went to Copper Mountain for a pipe shot, then to Aspen, and now he's on his way to Tahoe to film some more park stuff.

Norwegian candy addict Fredrick Austbo had a quite an unlucky season. He did a lot of contests and got sore knees every day after riding. At least he thought they were just sore. Fred finally went to the doctor to get his knees checked, and was informed that one of his ACLs was torn. That means a gummi bear, pineapple and ginger diet for the next couple of weeks. For all of you who don't know, those things are good for your ligaments, and help your body to heal faster. Let's all cross our fingers for Freddy and wish him a quick and successful recovery.

Swedish ripper and ladies' man Chris Sörman is finally back home in Sweden. It was his first season filming with a video crew, and he was pretty bummed when he heard that he would have to stay in the middle of Europe for a bit more than two months to get enough footage for his video part. Now Chris is back in his favorite country, enjoying the slushy Spring riding conditions up North.

Chris was busy traveling this year, and entered some of the bigger contests in Europe. He got 2nd at the Snow Jam contest in Czech, and I am sure he used this prize money for online poker. Chris is addicted to that stuff, just like Hampus! Anyways, right now, Chris is back in Sweden, hitting some more park jumps together with the Pirate crew. Check out next year's Pirate Movie to see Chris in action.

Spanish girl power Cuca Aranda packed her stuff and flew off to Australia, where she will be hanging for the next five months. Cuca's plan is to improve her English, surf and snowboard. I'll bet she's gonna like it down there!
French ThirtyTwo rider Remi Lamazouere was a busy traveler this season, as well. He filmed with the Psykopit crew all over Europe. Check out Remi's part in Psykopit's new masterpiece! Oh, actually, you'll have to wait until next Fall.
