100% Custom Moldable

That's right, all you have to do is buy your ThirtyTwo boots from an authorized dealer and ask for a custom mold. It only takes about 15 minutes, it's painless and super easy.

  1. First, you'll have to take off your shoes and socks. Bare feet, please.
  2. Put your ThirtyTwo boots on the Heat Stack for 10 minutes.
  3. As the liners are being cooked, you'll have plenty of time to size up toe caps. S, M, L or XL. Pick one that fits snuggly around the toes of your foot.
  4. Once you have the right size toe cap, get a set of nylons and pull them over top of the toe cap and foot.
  5. Now the liners should be done cooking, so pull them off the Heat Stack and slide your foot into both ThirtyTwo boots. Be careful, they might be a little hot.
  6. Lace the boots snuggly and stand up. Stand still for 10 minutes so the liners have time to cool to your exact foot print. Remember, don't over-tighten boots, and stand still. No walking or jumping around.
  7. Take your ThirtyTwo boots to the cash register and pay the man. Don't forget to pick up a pair of ThirtyTwo socks that are made for snowboarding. Yes, that's right, made for snowboarding! They wick moisture away from you feet so your toes don't go numb on the below-zero day of shredding.
  8. Now get out there and ride! Your feet will thank you!

Key Notes

  • Your authorized dealer will have all this information, so don't worry, you don't have to take a quiz or anything to get a custom fit with your ThirtyTwo boots.
  • Don't try this at home! It won't work! Way too many kids put their ThirtyTwo liners in a regular home oven and seriously cook them. Don't do that. It will bake your liners as hard as rocks. Again, DON'T TRY THIS AT HOME!
  • Yes, it's a simple process, but go to an authorized ThirtyTwo dealer and have them molded by a professional.

How do you find a shop that does this? Some shops I've talked to have the heat stack but nobody seems to know about toe caps.

  6. cook

If they know about the heat mold then they should have toe caps? Call a couple different shops.

I don't get it either but I've asked at a couple of shops and nobody seems to know what I'm talking about.

hey all...just grabbed a pair of last years Forecast...NICE boots...problem is, I got a 9, thinking that like most boot companies y'all just used a shim between a 9 and 9.5. After trying them on (failed) I see that I was likely WRONG. True? 9 and 9.5 are two entirely different shells and liners?

should be able to get a 9.5 if necessary, and am also interested in a shop that does proper fitting. Seems odd that they wouldnt know what the toe caps were!

why dont people just use hair dryers, then slip your foot in them while theyre hot, go ride, come back, MOLDED.

  17. doc b

anybody know a site thats got all/most of the thirty two outerwear?

  18. Nick

    Kevin,

I think it could be because it's possible to overheat the liner and have it become real hard and unmoldable. I'm pretty sure that anyone with at least half a brain could do it with a hair dryer, though. Just so you know about the overheating though...

    Hey,

I'm surpised that none of the shops that I've asked seem to know nothing about the molding.

Anyhow, I bought a pair from one of these places.

Could you give me a place in/near Edmonton, Alberta, Canada that molds the boots.

My local shop said that the boots mold to your foot after about 3 days of riding. So, don't trip out. They don't even need to mold. Theyre already comfy as is.

I wore my new 305's at Baker's opening day Tuesday. Biggest pow opener in 25 years. 90" base up top. It was marvelous. I put blue superfeet in my 305's and the soles of my feet were killing me all day long. Advil didn't help. Is the arch support in the 305's adequate making superfeet unnecessary?

  38. Mont

    Kevin
Thanks alot. Makes good sense. The prospect is cool looking. (The Lashed is killer though.)

  39. kevin

    Monty, my boy-
Yes, the lashed is sick, but when i went to my local shop, i tried the prospect on, and the lashed. There wasn't much difference at all. The lashed was just a tiny bit stiffer, maybe looked somewhat cooler, but i ended up getting the prospect. Riding wise- the lashed wont get you any better than the prospect. Go ahead and spend more money on a boot thats practically the same riding.

hey, i just got a pair of 32 boots and need new bindings for this year... any suggestions...burton...what?

  47. Nick

shawn, it depends on what kind of riding you do and what kind of feel you're going for. As for burtons, they are light and, starting this year, all baseplates from burton are under warranty for life. I'd say just go into a store, bring your boots with you, and actually strap the bindings to your foot (granted, they are customizable, so keep that in mind) and just ask a knowledgeable salesperson. If there are none, write back on here with your riding style and I'll give some advice. I personally have Burton El Habano Cartels from 04-05.

Tired on the Lashed and the Piron about a $60 CAD diffence in price. Both fit good. What would be better for a intermediate rider on the verg of becoming advanced?

Secondly....sales gy told me that I didn't need to get them molded because they would form to my feet on their own...is he talking smack ?

To all who don't have a shop to mold at (I work at one and any shop that got stacks shoulda got the rubbery toecaps and socks with it, if they don't, I wouldn't dream of molding there).... You can just ride and the heat of your feet riding for a day will mold your boots. I mean, it's cool for them to feel perfect before you go, but if you're in a jam, just ride 'em. The heat from your feet all day in the boots will be enough to mold them. And yes, you can usually go down a size when you mold them. It also eliminates heel lift like crazy.

  53. J

    Kalen-
You can bake your boots whenever. And no shop should be charging you to bake them. There isn't a recommended home way cause you can overbake them and kill them.

Home molding - get off your ace and go to a shop to do it proper, or dont do it at all.

Toe Caps - are neoprene in most cases (same ones are used for Tele and AT boots). You can also make your own by cutting the toe box off of heavy wool socks. Just cut from the met's back and you are in like the butchers dog.

Superfeet - yes, needed. All boots, from all companies at all prices use generic craptastic footbeds. Superfeet and others give your feet support, balance and strength. Reduce pressure spots (re-align your bone structure) and therefore also increase warmth. If you spend a few hun on the boot, finish it off with 30 for a footbed. Oh, and they hurt a bit at first cause your arch isnt used to it.. Unless you wear them in all your footwear - each time you step into riding gear is an adjustment.

Hey, this isnt about the custom molding or anyhting but I didnt know where to go on and ask anyone about it but I bought my boots last year and they are the womens black and blue "Lashed" boots and whenever I wear them my calf muscles become SOOO sore (almost like cramped up feeling) cuz they bend them sooo far forward I only went a couple times last year so I just wanted to know if anyone else had this problem and if it went away or what? I thought these boots were supposed to be the best and insanely comfortable. I spent alot of money on boots that make my calves insanely sore.

    Hi,

Is there anybody with hard facts thaqt the boots will mold properly if they are not pre-molded? And will they mold?

If not, the shop where I bought the boots are still waiting for the cooking apparatus, so is there a way to do it properly at home? Being hair-dryer is there an sign when they havew been heated enough? Or are we suppoised to put them in the oven what temps for how long? And why do we need to put a cap on the toes?

    Thank you very much

    Alisha,

I tried on the 305's yesterday after they heated them for 5 minutes to help me get my foot in. My calf muscles also hurt. It felt like someone was squeezing my calf and I was concerned that after about 30 minutes my calf muscle would hurt too much to ride.

Anyone!! can someone comment about the calf muscle tightness and what to expect over time?

I have just bought size 9 Uk - 32 Lashed boots and some Flow NXT-AT (large) Binding, got them home and attached to board and tried to dial them in to the best fit but it seems i always get a slight rub against the boot heal or the boot heal stopping the high back being pulled up to lock in. Does this mean the boots not compatible or should i spend more time on them and hopefully find settings that work?

Don't want to cause damage to the binding or boot over time with the rubbing, and I can imagine on the mountain with snow in tread of boot and on binding this will compound the problem.

I have tried moving the highback backwards/forwards, loosening the powerstrap ratchets to allow my boot to slide in easier and get the toe fully in the binding but then i feel the powerstrap isn't holding the boot firmly after that.

Don't know if anyone has any others ideas or knows that they are not compatible.

    To Nick, Kevin, and Keely

Get some skis punks. Just cause y'all think you can ride (and are extremely insecure) doesn't mean you have to exhibit the same typical "bad-ass" attitude so prevelent in our sport. Life isn't about "props". Also, it's okay if Keely's a homosexual, you don't have to be a homophobe Kevin.
