Team Report 05-12-05

Spring Madness is here! It just keeps snowing and snowing and snowing. The ThirtyTwo team photo shoot turned out to be a huge success! Despite a couple of broken collar bones
and semi-decent weather conditions, the team had a blast hanging out and shredding at June Mountain. We even celebrated Frederik Austbo's 17th birthday on April 20!
Here's a quick update on what the ThirtyTwo team riders have been up to lately. The season is winding down, and most of the riders are scrambling to get in their last-minute powder shots while others are planning a break from the snow.
John Jackson is wrapping things up with his season. He recently spent a couple of weeks heli-ing with the Standard Film crew in Canada. They pretty much wrapped up the season of powder, so now it's all about park kickers and booters. John's chillin' in his hometown of June Lake for the next couple of weeks. He'll be shredding Mammoth until they close, if they plan on closing.

Markku Koski is pretty much done with filming his part with Standard Films. He's "going-going back-back to Finland-Finland" to get surgery on his shoulder. Markuu will be rehabbing as soon as possible, and most likely stay in Finland for the Summer. Good luck, Markku!
Tyler Lepore needed to get some inspiration to get back into art mode, so he's heading to Barcelona to start designing his new board graphics. He's planning on hanging out for a
few weeks to take a break from snowboarding and catch up on some rest and relaxation while he's out there. We'll catch up with you in a few weeks, Ty!
Benji Ritchie recently finished up his part with White Out films. He'll be chilling in Whistler for the remainder of the season, and then edit his part, which should be due out sometime during ASR San Diego.
Janna Meyen is back in Bend, Oregon, still working on her video part with Volcom films. She plans on hitting up the Summer camps at Mt. Hood to get some more footage. Check out some of the shots from the ThirtyTwo photo shoot.
Alexis Waite has been on the road for the last couple of months, hitting up a few events such as the All-Girl Super Park at Copper Mountain, Colorado. She recently got 2nd place at the Roxy Chicken Jam in Laax, Switzerland last March, and 4th at the Nikita Chikita Jam in Tahoe on April 16. Lexi has been quite the busy bee, driving up and down the West Coast. She recently moved from Utah back to Bend, Oregon, and will head back to Southern California to attend the etnies Girl photo shoot this week.
Wille Yli-Luoma is taking a little break from snowboarding right now. He wrapped things up in Tahoe a couple of weeks ago, and he's getting settled into his new apartment in Portland, Oregon. Wille drove down to Southern California last week to indulge in another passion of his, music. He dropped in on all the best equipment you can get to be "The DJ that saved your life." He's been spending some quality time spinning on the wheels of steel. Look out, Portland! DJ Free Wille may be touring in your neck of the woods. He's also heading to Sweden to hang out with his daughter Lilou for a few weeks.
That's about it for now. Until next time, keep the dream alive. Mahalo, danke, tak, merci, keetos, Cheetos, gracias and arrigato misto-robato!
