Dionne Delesalle recently locked down a deal with a new board company starting-up this season. The Vancouver-based snowboard company is called Sapient, and Dionne will be one of the top three riders on the pro team. Dionne recently had his wisdom teeth pulled, so he’ll be recovering for the next couple of weeks.

Markku Koski will be shredding in Sweden this week. He’ll most likely attend the indoor event in Stockholm scheduled for later this week. He’ll be doing the X-Trials in Japan, as well, later this month.

Nicolas Droz is getting ready for his second annual Winter Kick-Off in Avoriaz, France. This event was such a success last year that most of the riders who participated in this event demanded Nico to bring it back. For more details on the Winter Kick-Off event, check out the latest issue of TransWorld Snowboarding magazine (December 2003). Good luck to our team riders for this year’s event (Wille Yli-Luoma, Danny Wheeler, Ile Eronen and Vera Janssen). Nico will also finalize his outerwear sponsor within the next couple of weeks.

Matt Hammer was recently seen hanging-out with friends at the K5 demo a couple of weeks ago. Matt’s been working with Standard Films and another film company to get some more exposure. He’s been running around filming a “Day In The Life” for the Fuel TV network. The show should feature a thirty-minute segment on Matt’s interests. Show times will be listed in the next report.

John Jackson has been pretty busy catering to his new found love, his puppy. He’s been busy training her and keeping her busy.

Tyler Lepore recently got back from the Midwest, where he was promoting his board sponsor and visiting shops. He also just got back from Europe, where he visited the factory where his boards are made. He’ll be back and forth from Tahoe and Whistler this season.

Joni Makinen has been shredding the Swiss Alps. He said his ankle is feeling 100% and he’s ready to charge it this year. He’ll be heading back to Finland for a couple of weeks and then off to Europe again to hit some real snow.

Janna Meyen is getting ready to hit the season up. She’ll be quite the busy bee this winter, as she plans on competing in a handful of events, as well as filming for a couple of new projects. She’ll be supporting the kick-off party at Side Effect shop in Bend, Oregon later this week.

Chad Otterstrom has been in Europe for the last couple of weeks promoting Video Gangs. He’ll be back next week to get back on track.

Roberta Rodger recently got back from a little road trip visiting the East Coast of Canada. She was involved in a few shop promotions signing autographs and giving away product for the kick-off of the season. She’ll be hanging in Vancouver for a few weeks and then heading to wherever the snow hits.

Kevin Sansalone finally moved into his new house. He’s settled and getting ready for a new season. He’ll be focusing on another film project this season, but actually doing more of the riding. Look out for more details for his upcoming film project.

Wille Yli-Luoma will be competing in an indoor event scheduled later this week in Stockholm, Sweden, which will feature some of Europe’s top riders--including our own Chad Otterstrom, Hampus Mossasen, Peter Strom and Danny Wheeler.
